April Rebellion – London 2022

Around 40 supporters from Worcestershire went down to London for the April Rebellion. On action days there were very powerful marches followed by a sit-down protest at various locations including Trafalgar Square and bridges over the Thames. New to this rebellion were Outreach days, which allowed us to have events in spaces that we wouldn’t normally be allowed access to, such as the field outside Tate Modern, and to be able to talk to members of the public in a relaxed environment. We did our own planet medics performance outside the Science Museum, in Tower Hamlets and at Southbank. Worcestershire XR Rhythms joined other bands from around the UK to add some grooves to the proceedings. There were also many powerful actions, including the occupation of the Shell head office, Lloyd’s of London, and Marble Arch.
